The module marina staff use to manage every vessel record, track where boats are, and store documents and crew details.

1. What are Boats?

This module holds the details for every vessel at your marina. You can create and update boat records, track each boat's current location, attach documents, and manage the crew or passengers on board. Staff use it alongside the Customers module to keep vessel information accurate and up to date.

2. How to Access It

  1. Log in to your marina's Metarina account.
  2. In the left navigation, under Accounts, select Boats to see all vessels across the marina.
  3. You can also open a customer's record and go to their Boats tab to see only their vessels.
  4. Click the View button next to a boat name to open its full details.

3. Key Screens and Layout

Screen / Area What you use it for Typical daily tasks
Boats List Screen You use this screen to see all boat records and search or filter the list. Check a boat's dimensions or docking status before assigning a berth. Create new boat accounts for vessels joining the marina.
Search Bar You use the search bar to find a boat by name, IMO number, or hull identification number. Look up a vessel that has just arrived at the marina.
Filters Panel You use the filters to narrow the list by customer language, boat type, or dimensions. Filter by Boat LOA to find vessels that will fit a specific berth.
Create Boat Form You use this form to add a new vessel to the system. Register a new boat for a customer who has just signed up.
Edit Boat Form You use this form to update a boat's details, dimensions, registration information, or vessel identity. Correct a LOA entry before assigning the boat to a berth.
Boat Record You use this screen to see the full record for one boat across all tabs. Review all boat details before confirming a long-stay booking.
Information Tab You use this tab to see the boat's basic information, dimensions, identification, ownership details, and internal notes. Confirm a boat's beam before assigning it to a narrow berth.
Documents Tab You use this tab to see documents attached to the boat and to upload new ones. Check whether a valid insurance certificate is on file before a long stay begins.
People on Board Tab You use this tab to manage crew members, passengers, and guests currently aboard the boat. Add a captain and crew to the manifest before departure.
Mooring Tab You use this tab to see a history of which berths this boat has been allocated to over time, shown as a read-only occupancy timeline. To assign a new berth, use the Allocate berth action in the boat's billing dropdown, not the Mooring tab itself. Check where a boat has been berthed previously before assigning it again.
History Tab You use this tab to see a record of all changes made to this boat's details and key events. Check who last updated a boat's dimensions or when its docking status was changed.
