The settings area marina managers use to configure berth details, set pricing strategies, and manage seasonal rates.

1. What is Pontoons & Berth Pricing?

This module is where you manage the pricing configuration for your marina's berths. You can choose between two pricing strategies, set daily, monthly, and yearly rates, define seasonal pricing periods, and manage the tax rate applied to berth stays. Changes made here affect the prices Metarina calculates and presents to boaters during booking.

2. How to Access It

  1. Log in to your marina's Metarina account.
  2. At the bottom of the left navigation, click your name to open the account menu.
  3. Select Marina Settings.
  4. Use the Berths tab to manage berth details and the berth tax rate, or the Pricing tab to manage pricing strategy, pricing seasons, and berth-specific pricing.

3. Key Screens and Layout

Pricing Screen You use this screen to choose your pricing strategy and manage pricing seasons. It contains the Pricing Seasons and Pricing Strategy sections and links to both the Boat Length (LOA) Pricing and Berth Specific Pricing screens. Review your pricing strategy setup at the start of a new season.
All Berths section of the Berths Screen You use this section of the Berths screen to see every berth in the marina with its pontoon, berth number, maximum LOA, and listing status. Search for a berth to check its dimensions before editing its price.
Tax rate for stays in a berth section of the Berths Screen You use this section of the Berths screen to set the percentage VAT applied to all berth stays at your marina. Update the tax rate when your local VAT rate changes.
Berth Pricing Management Screen You use this screen to see and edit the price set for each individual berth, filtered by pricing season. You reach it by clicking Berth Specific Pricing on the Pricing Screen. Check or update the daily rate for a specific berth before the high season.
Edit Berth Pricing Screen You use this screen to set the daily, monthly, and yearly net price for one berth within a pricing season. Set a new daily price and let monthly and yearly rates calculate automatically.
Pricing based on Boat Length (LOA) Screen You use this screen to see all boat length pricing tiers grouped by season. You reach it by clicking Boat Length (LOA) Pricing on the Pricing Screen. Review your length-based pricing tiers before a seasonal rate change.
Edit Pricing based on Boat Length (LOA) Range Screen You use this screen to set the daily, monthly, and yearly price for a specific boat length range. Update the rate for boats over 12 metres at the start of summer.
Pricing Seasons Section You use this section on the Pricing screen to see your configured seasonal date ranges and edit their names and dates. Confirm that your high season date range is set correctly for the year.

Price Preview Shows a live preview of calculated daily, monthly, and yearly prices on the Edit Berth Pricing screen before saving.
Edit LOA Pricing Sets the daily, monthly, and yearly net rate for a specific boat length range within a pricing season.
Unlimited Upper Range Marks the highest LOA pricing tier as open-ended so it applies to all boats above the minimum length.
Edit Pricing Season Updates the name, start date, and end date of a configured pricing season.

5. Statuses and What They Mean

Status / Badge Meaning What you should do next
Green dot (no text label) The berth is active and available for allocation and booking. The All Berths screen shows a green dot under the Listed column, with no text label next to it. No action needed unless you need to hold it temporarily.
Gray dot (no text label) The berth is inactive and cannot be assigned to any booking. The All Berths screen shows a gray dot under the Listed column, with no text label next to it. Edit the berth and toggle Listed for bookings when it is ready for use.
***** (asterisk, italic) On the Berth Pricing Management screen, a monthly or yearly price shown in italic with an asterisk has been auto-calculated from the daily rate. Open the Edit Berth Pricing screen and enter a specific value if you want to override the calculation.
calculated On the Edit Berth Pricing screen, the Price Preview shows this label next to a monthly or yearly price that Metarina calculated from the daily rate. Enter a value in the monthly or yearly price field to set a fixed rate instead.
(calc.) On the LOA Pricing list, a monthly or yearly price shown with this label has been auto-calculated from the daily rate. Open the Edit LOA Pricing screen and enter a specific value if you want to set a fixed rate instead.
Not set On the Edit Berth Pricing Price Preview, this label appears when no daily price has been entered so no calculation is possible. Enter a daily price first so the monthly and yearly values can be calculated, or set them manually.
Includes unlimited ranges (blue badge) The LOA pricing season contains at least one tier with an open-ended upper length range. No action needed. This confirms that very large boats have a valid pricing tier.
